About Me

Short version
I’m Dániel, a Budapest-based carpenter. I make furniture by day and design woodworker tees at night. Sawdust Circle is for people who read grain before headlines and call the shop their second home.

Why this exists
I couldn’t find shirts that actually get shop life—glue-ups, tear-out, 240-grit truth, the first clean shaving off a sharp plane. So I started printing what we live: identity over gimmicks.

My story (quick cuts)

  • Burned out of agency life → picked up tools → built a new path in wood.

  • Learned the hard way: square beats speed, sharp beats force.

  • Friends kept asking for “that maker shirt” I was wearing → Sawdust Circle was born.

What we stand for

  • Identity: Wear what you do, not a random slogan.

  • Respect the material: Follow the grain; let wood lead.

  • Craft > hype: Clean designs, durable blanks, shop-worthy comfort.

  • Community: Nods at the lumberyard count as five-star reviews.

How the tees are made

  • Printed to order to avoid waste and dead stock.

  • Premium unisex blanks (soft, breathable, built to hold shape).

  • Crisp prints that survive dust, sweat, and repeat washes.

  • Sizes XS–5XL because makers aren’t one size.

For who

  • Carpenters, furniture makers, turners, DIY shop rats—anyone who speaks kerf, rift/quarter-sawn, and finish schedules.

  • Gift buyers who actually understand what “measure twice” means.

What you can expect

  • Straight talk. No fake “limited” drops.

  • Designs that pass the shop-floor eye test.

  • Fast, transparent support from me—not a bot.

Join the Circle

  • Tag your builds and fits: #SawdustCircle

  • Share tips, mistakes, wins. Makers make each other better.

Founder’s note
If a design doesn’t earn a nod from a fellow woodworker, it doesn’t ship. Have an idea you want to see on a tee? Send it—I’ll credit the origin and make it right.

Care (because we care)
Cold wash, inside-out. Low tumble or hang dry. Don’t iron the print. Keep finish nails away.
